We’ll explore puppetry as a tool to support early literacy, sensory awareness, problem solving self-regulation, self-expression, and more!
Lana Montgomery has been a history teacher, bus driver, tutor, coach, and troop leader in the past. Her experiences led her in the world of libraries in 2014 when she became an Outreach Librarian at Carroll County Public Library. Now she revels in providing bookmobile service and story times, performing puppet shows, and performing as Corky the mascot across Carroll County.
Rebecca Garrahy has worked for Carroll County Public Library for 7 years. Prior to her position at the library, she had a long career as a professional actor and then spent 10 years as a veterinary technician. In addition to her library position, Rebecca currently enjoys performing in local theater productions.
Belinda Bauman received her B.S. in Physical Education from Salisbury University. She lived in Papua New Guinea with her husband for 10 years where she homeschooled her 4 children and worked among women and youth of that country. For the past 13 years, Belinda has been a Carroll County Public Library Outreach Programming Specialist where she drives the Story time Express, oversees the Deer Park Story Stroll, and assists in presenting the many programs of the Outreach Department.
